For Vans, a series of one-of-one custom sneakers was created in collaboration with SZA and New York–based jeweler Rachel Goatley. The custom designs were made for SZA and worn during Paris Fashion Week, where she appeared front row at the Louis Vuitton Menswear Show.The designs reinterpreted classic Vans silhouettes through detailed finishes and gemstone elements, bringing jewelry design into Vans’ streetwear language.
Commissioned by Vans, I photographed the one-of-one sneakers created for this collaboration. In addition to the photography, I developed a visual concept for each shoe, drawing from different facets of SZA’s world and creative presence. The focus was on capturing the materials, textures, and details of each pair while presenting the shoes as collectible objects. The final images were produced to support the editorial and press rollout of the project across fashion and culture platforms.
